Oh my god.. It's been 1 month since last update as i was indulging myself watching new animes doramas and learning Mandarin, Japanese, HTML, CSS, all at the same time.. Because of that i was kinda lost my passion to write which is actually.. bad thing XP
My language school is entering Chinese New Year holiday mode start from today. That means I can spend more time learning other things beside Mandarin at home and of course.. time to have fun with my friends!
Short talk about Chinese New Year
(or also well known as Chinese Spring Festival 春節 by most of foreigner)

Currently, the atmosphere here in Taiwan has been set to Chinese New Year mode >_< When you are strolling around the city especially shopping district, you can hear Chinese New Year songs almost everywhere, and you will see accessories and posters painted in red in front of shops and houses ^^
This year will be Year of the Ox. And it will be my first Chinese New Year experience since i've been here in Taiwan. Just yesterday I saw there was so many people in train station, they formed a long waiting line about 10 metres in lenght. They were all waiting to make a reservation for a High Speed Rail tickets (Taiwan's Shinkansen ^^) depart to south of Taiwan, some peoples will go for vacation and some others will go to pay visits to their families in their homecities. Well, despite that i also heard nowadays Taiwanese prefer to go abroad for their Chinese New Year lol
My teacher and Taiwanese friends told me that when it is Chinese New Year, you will find less people in main city like Taipei because most of people will travel south. Most of shops will be closed and beautysalons and barber will charge you more than usual (what?! barber??).
Oh yeah, they also said that you still can see traditional performances in temples, well it is good idea because it will attract many foreigners including me ^^
Almost forget to mentioned that two days ago, I went to a street market downtown called 迪化街 (Di2Hua4Jie1) which is a famous street market between Taiwanese and foreigners.
I went there with my Japanese friend with travelbags and camera on hands. I was very surprised when i arrived there. The street is small but long with marketstands in the left and right of the street wrapping it like sandwiches XD. I saw hundreds of Taiwanese and few foreigners that want to witness this interesting event. My Japanese friend said "sugoi, matsuri mitai" ("wow, it's like a festival") as we immediately entered the crowd. We were walking through the street with speed of 30cm per second because there was hundreds of peoples in front of us and hundreds more behind >_<. People there sell variety of snacks and local food for Chinese New Year preparation, and everybody's free to try some or to make it simple "eat for free" >_<
Well, I think that's all for now. To close this talk, as we're looking forward to the upcoming Chinese New Year, i will expect something far more interesting from Taiwan after this in the future. I hope this Chinese New Year will be a good new start here in Taiwan as Taiwan's economy doesn't give any signal of improvement, many of Taiwanese are hoping Year of the Ox will bring better luck and fortune for the future.
PS: I can't wait to watch Taiwan's Dragondance and Liondance!
